28-year-old Tsubame Hayakawa works at an architectural firm. One day, he receives a phone call from his father Shuichi who only says he has a favor to ask of him. The following day, Tsubame heads for his parent's home in Saitama Prefecture. There, he is greeted by Satomi, Shuichi's second wife. Satomi implores him to go as a last request from Shuichi.
